Included in the display of dolls that mark the celebration of the Girls Day Festival in Japanese culture, the Zuijin or Ministers of the Left and Right represent the guardians of the Emperor and Empress. One of the Zuijin figures is an older man; the other figure, like this one, represents a young guard.
