Dombeya burgessiae Gerrard - Sterculiaceae

Grows as a shrub or tree to 6 meters, leaves with hairs, flowers white or pink, fruit round and hairy
Habitat: Occurs in open forests, on riverine vegetation, open grasslands as well as rocky sites
Distribution: All the provinces apart from coast
Uses: Bark fiber is used to make ropes, Kamba people use the wood for making bows
