Tottori, Japan

This is a depiction of Dongfang Shuo as he is about to walk away after stealing peaches from the Chinese deity Xi Wangmu, Queen Mother of the West. The mischievous grin that is visible on his realistically shaded face as he turns around was exquisitely captured by Torei’s own observing eye.
