In 2012, the new owner of a small garden house in Hütteldorf found this board with a list of donors. The original builder of the house in 1955, the year of the State Treaty, had used it as building material. Because of the large number of Jewish donors, the new owner gave it to the Jewish Museum Vienna. This was the starting point for intensive research. The fact that the list contains both Jewish and non-Jewish names suggested that it was a non-Jewish establishment. The names of doctors indicate that it had to do with medicine. And the many women hint that it was probably and institution for women. With the aid of details about the donors, some of whom were already marked as deceased, it is possible to date the board at around 1900. After extensive research, it was finally possible to conclude that the donations were for a convalescent home for needy women in Rosentalgasse in Hütteldorf built in the jubilee year 1898, not far from the site where it was found.
