Directed by Georges Pallu, this film is one of the examples of the efforts led by Invicta Films to bring Portuguese classic books to the screen – and Doomed Love is full of passion, drama and tragedy, ingredients that are very appealing to the public. In Doomed Love, Teresa and Simão love each other, but their families disapprove of their relationship. They will be separated, but their love will never die.
