This is a Prefectural Preservation Cultural Property that was used as a tool in festivals during Yayoi Period. It was discovered by accident in 1960 in an orchard in southern Tottori-Heiya (plain).
The surface depicts "ryusuimon" - a pattern that expresses the flow of water. Bells found on the shore of Yoshino River (Tokushima Prefecture) and in Furukawa-cho, Kanonji City (Kagawa Prefecture), are known to be made from the same mold.
