Der nahezu vollständig erhaltene Doppelspatel stammt aus dem sog. Kupfer-Hortfund, welcher unter dem Tempel des Gottes Assur in der gleichnamigen Stadt entdeckt wurde. Neben diesem Spatel fanden sich dort noch eine Reihe weiterer Metallgefäße, Waffen und figürliche Metallobjekte. [Helen Gries]
