The platter comes from Vienna. It is set on an elliptical base created by four diagonal, S-shaped feet joined at the top. Two of them are decorated with convex medallions, while the other two — with mascarons. At its base, there are two supported bowls in the shape of elliptical shells, set along the longer axis. On both sides of the joint from which a baluster stem comes out, there are two three-dimensional figures of cupids hunting the dolphin swimming underneath the joint. The stem is decorated with leaves and surmounted by a filigree shaft holding a glass vase.
