In her art Katarzyna Górna analyses images of women in culture on the basis of stereotypes and existing iconographic patterns. She raises taboo subjects. Double Portrait is a reflection on passing and the sense of existence in the form of a photograhic triptych. An important aspect of the compositions is foregrounding cross-generational relations.

Katarzyna Górna (b. 1968) creates photographs, installations and videos. Graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (diploma in 1994 from Grzegorz Kowalski's studio). Her works are in the collections of, among others, MOCAK, Bunkier Sztuki in Krakow, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw.
