Nisha Sajnani, PhD, RDT-BCT is the Director of the Program in Drama Therapy and the Theatre & Health Lab at NYU Steinhardt where her research explores the benefits of improvisation and performance across the lifespan. She is the founder of Arts & Health @ NYU and Chair of the Creative Arts Therapies Consortium and International Research Alliance, a charter collaborating center with the WHO Arts & Health program. Through this alliance, Dr. Sajnani and her team are mapping the evidence on the health benefits of the arts and arts therapies and developing an artist wellbeing resource.
