Dr. Terri Finkel is recognized internationally for her immunology research and the inspiration she provides women entering medical careers.
After medical school, she trained in pediatric rheumatology at National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine. Her T-cell research has enhanced knowledge about auto-immunity, AIDS, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and various cancers. While at National Jewish, Finkel directed two research labs and managed the care of 400 pediatric patients. Currently, Finkel is the first pediatric rheumatologist, Pediatrics Chair and Chief Research Officer at Orlando’s Nemours Children’s Hospital.
