The drawing room of Edward VIII, Duke of Windsor's home in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris. The walls are painted light blue, with gilded moulding separating them into discrete panels, some with inset mirrors. Above a couch covered in embroidered cushions is a portrait of the Duke in the robes of the Order of the Garter, painted by Herbert James Gunn. A gilded wood chair upholstered in white fabric embroidered with gold scallop shells sits near the center of the room. On a table in the foreground is a porcelain sculpture of a dog.
