Long party dress with a train. It is made of lurex, a commercial brand that patented a synthetic fibre, usually polyester, in the 40's, that was coated with vapourised aluminium, endowing it with a novel shine. Afterwards, they began to dye the fabric black with small velvet vine leaves, also in black, as was the case with this dress. The tightly fitted bodice has a high heart-shaped neckline at the front and a low V at the back, ending in a “cul-de-Paris”, a structure reminiscent of the bustle, but rather than working with wiring it works by folding of the fabric.
