This dress panel, embroidered with extraordinary chenille florals, is part of an eight piece set that belonged to Idabelle Sparks Cress, who lived on Officers' Row at Vancouver Barracks. When the original garment was outgrown or discarded, these decorative panels were salvaged and kept in her family for generations.
