A floor length dress of floral printed silk chiffon-multi-colored flowers with white highlights on a black ground; v-neck bodice with fitted shoulders and black lace trimmed Bertha collar-like overlay at front; lower front bodice gathered into waistline seam; back bodice extends as a continuous piece into skirt with waistline shaping achieved through a series of tucks extending from bodice into skirt; short lace trimmed sleeves with gathered caps; cummerbund-like self fabric sash at waist with inverted v shaping at center front; gored skirt with fullness pleated in at sides of front waist leaving several inches flat across the center front; stiff black net crinoline incorporated as an underlining to skirt fabric; two rows of lace trim skirt hem; slide fastener (zipper) at proper left side opening
