Barcelona-based fine artist Pejac has a unique visual language. There is poetry and sensitivity woven into the fabric of his artwork, allowing him to explore social and environmental concerns critically. Whether on paper, canvas or in public, his work demonstrates a strength gained from his knowledge of classic art and popular culture. From site-specific interventions and miniature window drawings to elaborate replicas of classical masterpieces, Pejac’s art is provocative and critical, retaining his voice and distinctive style despite the variety of tools and mediums he explores. In paying tribute to Norwegian master expressionist artist Edvard Munch and his famous piece, “The Scream”, Pejac creates his rendition, which utilizes the shadow figure of a small child.
