A 16-minute video-installation showing colourful soundsuits in motion, some at normal speed and others in hypnotic slow-motion, allowing the artist to blend the structure, decoration and movement into one visual mass. In the DVD, Nick Cave and other dancers incarnate otherworldly creatures in a jovial, playful ceremony.
Suggesting tribal garb, costumery, haut-couture and superhero bodysuits, the soundsuits evoke rituals and carnivals, such as New Orleans’ traditional Mardi Gras.
