Duelling Pistols

Case with duelling pistols, Austrian manufacture, by Johann Springer of Vienna. The pistol grips are made of ebony and bear rich, unusual plant and floral decoration. The metal parts of the pistols are similarly decorated with embossed roses. The case has a red velvet lining, and inside the various slots, in addition to the pistols, various accessories and tools are found, such as a gunpowder case with a meter and a lead ball for firing.
