Duke’s Monument and Duchess’s Column, Wrest Park

This monument to Henry, duke of Kent originally stood in Duke’s Square, a clearing comprising linked rectangular and circular compartments set within the eastern side of the Great Garden. It was sold to Sir Philip Sassoon in 1934, dismantled and re-erected in Trent Park, Middlesex along with several other monuments from Wrest including the commemorative obelisk which once stood close to the Silsoe Gate.
