Also on the left, just above the wharf, are two glass works cones emitting smoke: ‘Mare et commercium colimus’ and Arms, Crest, Supporters and Motto (Dei Donum) of Dundee. Notes The infirmary was actually founded in 1793 and opened in 1798.
