At the top of this note the three figures of Britannia, Hibernia and Scotia sit in harmony - Scotia with her plaid draped neatly over the branch of a tree. The panels at the sides, however, are dominated by Scottish imagery: feather bonnets; plaid; the lion rampant of Scottish heraldry and spiky thistles.
