The Dune Tiger beetle (Cicindela hybrida) inhabits sandy, open forests, dunes as well as sand pits or gravel pits. They can reach a length of 16 mm. Mostly they show a brown copper color. Its distribution area reaches from europe to Anatolia and siberia. The
shown beetle was captured in Kleinkneten in the rural district of Oldenburg, 1935. It belongs to the collection of Georg Kerstens.
