Unearthed from Linzhuang Tang-dynasty Tomb in the suburbs of Yangzhou in 1978, this well-preserved purple inkslab in a simple dustpan shape with a narrow and lower front end and a wider and higher rear edge, resulting in a sloped plain which rests on two cuboid-shaped feet at one end. This piece bears evident features of inkstones produced during that historical period.
