The Mirror

The younger brother of artists Arthur and Ernest Parton, Henry likely learned the rudiments of painting from his siblings. The artist traveled to Paris where he studied with Eugene Petit, a noted still life painter and upon his return to New York, he worked as a designer for for Alexander Smith Carpet Company and exhibited works at the National Academy of Design.
