Dyeing factory near Karachi - Sindh, Pakistan

The workers of this dyeing factory install racks for recently dyed fabrics several metres above ground. Pakistan is the fourth Asian producer of cotton; and textile industry represents almost 10% of the GDP – it employs 15 million people. However, working conditions in the workshops are arduous – exploitation rates, number of hours and wages are regularly denounced as unfair.
