Dyrrachium (Durrës, Albania)

You will find there one of the largest amphitheatres in the Balkans built in the 2nd century AD, where gladiators used to battle each other and wild exotic animals, to a raucous mob of thousands. Roman baths and the forum are also visible in the Old Town, while the amazing collection of terracotta figurines of Venus are treasured in the Archaeological Museum Durrës.
