Early spring at the Botanic Garden

Each year a carpet of Siberian squill (Scilla siberica) contrast beautifully with the bark of the dawn redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides) in the Walled Garden. These hardy bulbous perennials are native to Russia and the Caucasus region.
