This sculpture is representation of the expansion of the automobile and highways that brough popularity to Route 66 in the 1920s and 1930s. The sculpture was placed in Tulsa in 2012 in honor of Cyrus Avery, a creator of the interstate highway system and known as the Father of Route 66.
