From 11th to 23rd April 1966 the Abbey Theatre commemorated the fiftieth anniversary of the Easter Rising 1916 with a special programme of plays. The theatre produced Dervorgilla by Lady Gregory, The Singer by Padraic Pearse and Lost Light by Roibeard O Farachain at the Queen's Theatre on Pearse Street.
