“Economy = Ecology”
A concept that the founder expressed back in the 1970s, when there was little attention to environmental themes. Economy = Ecology is the synthesis that is still written on the production lines today, reminding everyone that respect for nature is an essential point of reference for the Group.
“I’ve always believed that quality, economic success and environmental protection were not mutually exclusive, but, on the contrary, that together they were the tools for positive development in industrial activities”.
In formulating its company policies, since it was set up Iris Ceramica Group’s main aims have been to protect the environment, to prevent pollution and to respect laws and regulations, setting itself ambitious targets for improvement.
The respect for the environment derives from the great value that Iris Ceramica Group has always placed in its territory. Ceramic is, in effect, a natural material, a combination of earth and fire, and a creation of men that combines, protects and enhances the vital elements that surround them.
Technological innovation aims at improving quality of life, to ensure the best possible future for humanity. Artistic skill is employed to serve the beauty of nature and placed at the service of humanity itself, because beauty has to be sustainable.
One of the cardinal rules of Iris Ceramica’s production philosophy is to follow the principles of sustainable architecture, creating materials with high technical and aesthetic performance and with features in line with the parameters of the laws of green building.
From the 1970s to the present day, the Group has made constant progress in that direction, acquiring the most advanced anti-pollution systems and creating a zero emissions factory, even developing materials with eco-active and antibacterial properties, thanks to Active Surfaces technology.
The Group is determined to design materials that are increasingly functional, beautiful, hard-wearing and safe.
“The concept is always the attention to the well-being of the individual in the environments that they live in and experience every day." - Federica Minozzi.
