The current building of AMIA, located in Pasteur 633, was re-inaugurated on May 26, 1999, five years after the attack.
Located in the same place where the bomb exploded on July 18, 1994, the main AMIA building - an icon of the Once neighborhood - was erected over the ruins of the old construction dating back to 1945.
The current building began construction in August 1995. Almost five years after the attack, it officially opened its doors at 9:53 am, at the same time as the bomb exploded. The re-inauguration had as its motto "For justice and for life".
The flyers that were distributed at that time to call the reopening ceremony echoed the overwhelming message of survival: "On May 26, we will return to our house together, Pasteur 633."
