The journalist Miloš Čtrnáctý together with Eduard Svoboda and the Radioslavia Company co-founded the Czechoslovak Radiojournal radio company in 1923. Čtrnáctý significantly influenced the contents of initial broadcasts as Head of Programming from 1923 to 1927. He also sat on the executive board until 1940 and established the Radio journal magazine in 1923. According to Čtrnáctý, the radio was supposed to assist in refining the artistic tastes of its listeners and educating them.
