Brochure about the educational programming options offered through the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies (IAUS) for 1984-1985 season. Design by Massimo Vignelli.

Founded by Architect Peter Eisenman in 1967, IAUS was a non-profit organization which provided educational instruction, exhibitions, and lectures about architectural history, theory and criticism. Often referred to as an Avant-Garde “think tank,” many key figures in the architecture field were involved including Diane Agrest, Julia Bloomfield, Kenneth Frampton, Susan Frank, Mario Gandelsonas, Frank Gehry, Charles Gwathmey, Rem Koolhaas, Robert Stern, and Anthony Vidler. IAUS also published numerous exhibition catalogues, a journal called Oppositions, and the newsletter Skyline. Vignelli Associates (Massimo Vignelli and later with Michael Bierut) designed their graphic materials from 1973 until 1985 when IAUS closed.
