Edwina Gamble

Estelle says: “This is my portrait of Edwina Gamble - she is an Emergency and Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant who sees people in A&E with a range of problems, including Covid. She works at the Leeds General Infirmary and St James's University Hospital with a fantastic, dedicated and hard working team. She works all sorts of hours and was working her 3rd weekend in a row when I sent her a photo of her finished portrait. Edwina has a young family who she describes as ‘absolutely terrific’ and she told me that spending time and having fun with them is what keeps her going.

We owe so much to our NHS workers for all the sacrifices they have made. I’m so happy to have been able to offer Edwina this portrait, it is a small way of saying thank you”
