Over 40 types of dinosaur eggs are currently known. But who laid what? We can only know this if an egg contains bone remains that can be compared with adults or if it was found under a parent that died while sitting on them! But this is rarely the case. However, it is easy to rank them according to size, general shape, structure of the shell etc. So they are given their own names rather than that of dinosaurs.
