In this work from our collection, the high quality of relief carving that the Egyptians achieved can be appreciated. In the bas relief with the lion, even though it is from a late period, the animal has been represented with great skill, showing certain particularities pertaining to its musculature. It holds a couple of knives in its claws, and has pointy, crested ears and particular traits are detailed in the head, such as the sunken eyes and the point where its mane begins.
