Horim Museum
Seoul, South Korea

This is a painting featuring various auspicious animals and longevity symbols across a total of eight panels. All depicted animals are mythical creatures believed to drive away ghosts and were also symbols for longevity and good fortune. The painting is composed so that the figures, as well as the background, converge towards the center. Considering that this painting was executed in a professional manner on such a large scale, it is presumed that it would have been made for the royal palace as a painting for good luck.
