Currently, we can see the remnants of bento (boxed lunch) for picnics in the Edo era remain in “ekiben” eaten on the Shinkansen and on trains. The name “Tokyo bento” was created by the cooperation of old restaurants in Asakusa, Ningyocho, and Tsukiji.
