A white round plate with a couple in yellow surrounded by green laurel wreaths and blue ornaments.
This piece is part of a project between Uriarte Talavera and UDLAP called Talavera Contemporánea, an exposition held in 1999. Gandia participates by painting a couple kissing on a talavera dish using simple lines to define their forms. They are surrounded by vegetal elements, the piece has a color contrast between the blue lines specially concentrated in the edges and the yellow areas concentrated on the center.
Gandia draws, paints and sculpts. Most of his art work is figurative, but this has a period in late 90’s in which the artist opts for the abstraction. Usually he paints spaces and the objects there. Is known artist inside and outside Mexico.
