The theme of Carlos Orta’s ballet 'El Error', which was originally made for the Tanz Forum in Cologne, is the struggle of a family that deals with the identity of one of their sons, who is a transvestite. The movement idiom clearly shows a division between the transvestite (Gerald Tibbs), and his family. While Tibbs remains calm, the movement of the other family members is hysterical and nervous.
