Elbrus

The Pearl of the Caucasus, the highest mountain peak in Russia, is located on the border between the Republics of Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria. Elbrus is currently a dormant volcano boasting ski resorts and gorgeous scenery. It is one of the Seven Wonders of Russia. Legend has it that Prometheus was chained to Elbrus for giving fire to humans.
