Trivia games have a long history that includes everything from nineteenth-century card decks to the 1980s board game sensation, Trivial Pursuit. Electronic versions of quiz games also have their enthusiasts. In 1980, Coleco introduced its computer-based Quiz Wiz game that used cartridges to offer multiple-choice questions on a wide variety of topics. Ultimately, about 30 different cartridges were produced, including the predictable--"The World of Sports" and "Movies & TV"--and the less expected--"Disaster! When Nature Strikes Back" or "Math Mania"--that would appeal to more specialized audiences.
