Toy inventors find ideas for new toys everywhere. Sometimes, an idea might come from watching children at play. Other ideas grow from a conversation with children, parents, or other toy inventors. The creation of each toy is unique, but some terrific toys result from the collaborations of creative minds. Toy inventors Greg Hyman, Larry Greenberg, and Judith H. Blau-an electronics expert, an engineer, and an artist-combined their talents in the early 1990s to produce Baby Check-Up and Baby All Gone, two dolls with features that added to nurturing play. Baby All Gone came with a specially engineered bottle and spoon that made the food "disappear" when placed in the doll's mouth. The Baby Check-Up came with a stethoscope that emitted a heartbeat sound when placed on the doll's heart. The thermometer included registered the doll's "temperature" and indicated with a smiley face that doll was well.
