Air is portrayed as a woman whose hair is blowing in the wind. She is holding a peacock and a chameleon. Beneath her feet is a bird of paradise and her outstretched arms are surrounded by stars and clouds.

Additional information:
People used to think that chameleons could live on air. The peacock was associated with Juno, goddess of the sky. In the 17th century, stuffed birds of paradise were fashionable objects for wealthy collectors to possess.
