HOPE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
No matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow –Maya Angelou. "My name is Nekesa, I am a 43-year-old separated mother of three. My husband left me once I was imprisoned at Lang’ata Women’s. I joined Carakana in 2018 and I worked on this elephant silhouette pattern which took me two months to complete. The project has been of great impact in my life as I have peace of mind, the money has helped me support my family and I have hope for a brighter future. We thank Carakana for initiating such a project in here. It has changed our lives and helps us avoid being idle. Idleness makes us worry a lot about our children out there and life after prison. God bless Carakana"
