Elizabeth Cady Stanton (1815-1902) was a reformer and suffragist. In 1848, she organized the first women's rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York and wrote part of the 'Declaration of Sentiments.' The document was signed by 68 women and 32 men including Frederick Douglass.
