Ellen (Nellie) Bushell, usherette at the Abbey Theatre for over thirty years, was a founding member of Na Fianna along with Abbey actress Helena Holony and Countess Markievicz. During the Easter Rising she volunteered at Jacob's Biscuit Factory and carried dispatches between garrsions. She continued in her role at the Abbey Theatre for several decades after the Rising.
