Elusive Land

Artist Akhilesh was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, in 1956. Growing up in Madhya Pradesh, his work was influenced by the region's strong folk and tribal artistic traditions.

He subtly plays with the tensions between the elements in his compositions, using geometrical lines and forms in peaceful and refreshing ways. He now focuses primarily on textile designing, living and working in Bhopal.
