Embankment under the Castle

This painting depicts the now non-existent neighborhood Vydrica under the Bratislava Castle and facing the Danube. Štefan Bednár includes his favourite civic motif of introducing (then) new technologies into the society - electrification, transportation and infrastructure - represented in the painting by the tram line and the wiring.
