Embroidered Buttons

A lotus flower and a pair of birds were embroidered on a square background to adorn this button. Four strands of a thick colored thread were used to create the edges, inside which the designs were embroidered. The edges of the designs were embroidered in couching stitch, and the links between the buttons were created with knots.
